Anne Frank house
The Anne Frank House museum is one of the most famous and prestigious museums globally. It offers visitors a glimpse into the reality of being Jewish during the Second World War.

Numerous Jewish individuals and families were sent to concentration camps during this time. Anne’s family fled and sought shelter in the hidden annex to evade the Germans. Within the museum, you can walk through the bookcase leading to the rooms where the Frank family lived for two years. Unfortunately, the family was discovered in August 1944 and sent to various concentration camps. Tragically, Anne succumbed to typhus at the age of 16. The Anne Frank House was subsequently converted into a museum.

Canals
The Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, and Herengracht are the most famous canals in Amsterdam, undeniably beautiful, but there are even more enchanting spots. Quieter, more photogenic. Not exactly hidden gems, as every corner of Amsterdam has been thoroughly explored, but rather serene. To find these hidden treasures, you must cross the Amstel River.

The most picturesque streets in the heart of Amsterdam can be found surrounding the Groenburgwal, Raamgracht, Kloveniersburgwal, Oudezijds Achterburgwal, and Zwanenburgwal. Red Light District
The Amsterdam Red Light District is renowned for being one of the city’s most talked-about neighborhoods, largely due to its association with the world’s oldest profession. While prostitution is a common practice worldwide, it typically takes place discreetly behind closed doors. In Amsterdam’s Red Light District, also referred to as “De Wallen” by locals, prostitutes openly offer their services from behind windows. The area is also known for its live sex shows, sex shops, brothels, and strip clubs.

Previously infamous for its notoriety and safety concerns, the Red Light District has undergone significant changes in recent decades. While visitors should still be cautious of pickpockets, the area is generally considered safe, especially during the daytime. Among the district’s establishments, Casa Rosso stands out as the oldest erotic theater, where adult entertainment can be enjoyed by those aged 18 and above. While there is no minimum age required to explore the district, minors are not permitted in adult shops or venues offering adult entertainment.
